Golden Peak Improvements 2016
The proposal focuses on improving racing/training terrain on Golden Peak at Vail, which is based on concepts included in the 2007 Master Development Plan (MDP) Update and which was site-specifically analyzed in the 2009 Final EIS. Specifically: - 42 acres of additional trails entailing smoothing/grading, vegetation removal, revegetation and draining management is proposed to be constructed - New snowmaking infrastructure is proposed to cover the entire 42 acres of new trails. - Installation of one surface lift is proposed. - Construction of a FIS-sanctioned women's Downhill and men's Super G courses, as well as a mogul course is proposed.

Golden Peak. The area encompasses the easternmost boundary along the front side of the Vail ski area's special use administrative boundary.
