The National Park Service and Fish and Wildlife Service are preparing a North Cascades Ecosystem Grizzly Bear Restoration Plan and Environmental Impact Statement to determine how to restore the grizzly bear to the North Cascades ecosystem. --- Project website: https://parkplanning.nps.gov/projectHome.cfm?parkID=327&projectID=44144 --- The comment period for the Draft North Cascades Grizzly Bear Restoration Plan/EIS has been reopened through October 24, 2019.

Location Summary

North Cascades Ecosystem grizzly bear recovery zone, including the North Cascades N.P., Ross Lake and Lake Chelan NRAs, and portions of Okanogan-Wenatchee and Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forests.

Forests: Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest All Units, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest All Units
