Proposal to increase invasive plant management activities within the Wrangell and Petersburg Ranger Districts. Proposal includes no annual treatment limit, treatment of emergent vegetation, and herbicide, manual and mechanical treatment tools.

Location Summary

Wrangell and Petersburg Ranger Districts - 3.7 million acres on both National Forest System lands (including wilderness) and lands of other ownership.

      To increase the effectiveness of invasive plant management activities on both districts, the Forest Service has prepared this environmental assessment (EA) to analyze a more comprehensive approach to invasive plant management to allow, among other changes, more acres of treatment.
