Facility management

  • Deer Lake & Winnie Boat Access Channel Dredging

    Authorize reoccurrence of equipment to excavate channel bottom sediment approximately 2ft in depth, 3-6ft in width, and 50-150ft in length. Sediment spoils will be deposited adjacent to previous spoils sites.

  • Stony Point Boneyard Maintenance

    Removal of live and dead standing trees and woody debris within 10ft of the fence surrounding the Stoney Point Campground equipment storage area to prevent further damage from falling trees.

    Vegetation management of the 107,000 acre Pennington South Planning area located between Pennington and HWY 2, West of Lake Winnibigoshish.

    The trail reroute section is 10 miles. Decommission old NCT segments. Constructing two parking areas and two dispersed campsites, which will include fire grates, wilderness latrines, and tent pads.

    Culverts on the trail have raised out of the ground high enough that mowers are not able to progress on the trail. replacement of the culverts lower in the ground will fix the issue and puncheon would be built over the gap

  • Northome Ridgerunners Snowmobile trail re-alignment

    A current snowmobile trail has drifted off it's original designated route and now encroaches on private property. This project aims to clear trees and brush to put the route back onto it's designated path and buffer the trail from the adjacent lands.

    Stony Point Day Use Boat Landing is for visitor day use. This boat landing need to be dredged so visitors can safely get their boats into the harbors. We will dump the dredge material in the stony brush disposal site.

    Decision to approve the CPF System Road Maintenance Project which includes forest wide road maintenance activities within the existing roadway and adjacent clearing zones.

    Maintenance of FR3110 and the construction of four passing lanes and a turn around to increase accessibility to HQ Bay.
