Construct an approximately 200' x 200' corral near Forest Road 1S25. Construct 0.3 miles of fence to create a lane to the new corral. Minor road improvements if needed to accommodate cattle truck access to the corral. Cut down logs and hazard trees.

Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite National Park jointly propose actions to reduce erosion and restore wetland functionality at Ackerson and South Ackerson Meadows (Ackerson Meadow complex). Yosemite National Park is the lead agency for the EA.

Amend LRMP to recognize the 2 parcels of lands donated from PG&E, totaling approximately 678.2 acres are being donated to provide permanent protection of the natural resources.

The proposed additional unit 907A ties the current project area along Avery Sheep Ranch Road into Fullen Road, where another fuelbreak is being developed (improving a 2015 Butte Fire contingency line into a dedicated fuelbreak).

Paved pedestrian/bike trail (non-motorized) connecting the Cedar Center (Oak Court) to Pine Drive and a dirt trail connecting the paved trail to the Arnold Rim Trail.

Improve forest health, reduce hazardous fuels, and abate hazardous trees on up to 3,000 acres within the wildland-urban interface by commercial and pre-commercial thinning, prescribed burning, and constructing and/or maintaining fuelbreaks.

Thinning on about 300 acres of plantations, reducing stand density to decrease the risk of mortality from drought related insects and diseases; and, to improve riparian, meadow, hardwood and watershed conditions.

Re-issue existing permit for continued use at the Baker Station.

Create bat roosting habitat on two 3N01 bridges that, due to their design, do not currently provide habitat, by affixing 4 roost boxes to the underside of each bridge.

Authorize new five year permit for maintaining 15 apiary sites to utilize flowering plants for honey. Each site is approximately 200' x 200' (0.86 acres) for a total of 12.9 acres.

Improve skier/boarder circulation and access to Bear Valley; provide additional parking capacity; and, improve guest services.

Thinning on 208 acres of red fir/mixed conifer forest along the northern boundaries of the town of Bear Valley. Prescriptions include ground based mechanical treatments and hand cutting.

Mechanically shred plantation trees in 21 plantations.

In order to allow more interactions with stakeholders, the Forest Supervisor withdrew the Draft ROD for the Bell Meadow (B), Eagle Meadow (E) and Herring Creek (H) allotments on August 29, 2016. The BEH project is on hold until further notice.

The City of Berkeley Toulumne Camp Permit (46690) project replaced this project on March 31, 2015.

Reforestation of a portion of the area burned in the 2015 Big Creek Fire without the use of herbicide, and manual release of natural and artificially regenerated conifer seedlings.

Recreation site repair and maintenance will proceed under a categorical exclusion that does not require a Decision Memo.

Campground improvements converting existing use area to a developed recreation site.

Create 1/2 mile long, 300 foot wide shaded fuelbreak incorporating natural breaks (rock outcrops) in the vegetation.

The Hammill Meadows(48016) project replaced this project on October 27, 2015.

Exploratory drilling of 11 holes for a mineral investigation. Drilling would require construction of drill pads and about 1,000 feet of temporary road to access drill sites.

Authorize new five year permit for maintaining five apiary locations to utilize flowering plants for honey. Each site is approximately 50' x 50' (0.06 acres) for a total of 0.30 acres.

Winter snow trail grooming and other winter recreation maintenance on Highway 4 and other roads.

Issuance of a 30-year term SUP for internal Caltrans radio communication needs.

Remove encroaching conifers from within meadows and aspen stands. Project cancelled on October 9, 2015.

Thin fuels to create defensible fuels profile. Landscape, fuelbreak and disconnected NFS parcels will be treated to compliment existing work on NFS and private lands.

Install bat habitat enhancement gates on 3 adit tunnel entrances along the Cherry Creek Diversion Dam access path. Install bat exclusion gates on interior water pipeline/tunnel junctions.

Reconstruction of the Cherry Creek whitewater put-in through trail hardening and installation of boat slide to improve user safety, facilitate user access and protect water quality by reducing trail erosion and sedimentation.

Issue a permit for reconstruction, occupancy, use and maintenance of the City of Berkeley Tuolumne Camp which was completely destroyed by the 2013 Rim Fire.

Replace and relocate the Clark Fork allotment corral. Corral footprint will be approximately 200 x 150 feet. Minor road improvements on road 7N30Y may be needed to accommodate cattle truck access.

Healthy forest restoration treatments including felling and removal of dead, dying, and infested trees on less than 3,000 acres to reduce the risk or extent of, or increase the resilience to, insect or disease infestation.

Stabilize 3 headcuts in meadow and re-route trail away from stream and wet portion of meadow.

Install pre-fabricated concrete restroom structure.

Authorize a term permit for continuing existing use at Dardanelle Resort.

Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort LLC proposes to upgrade new communication equipment.

Authorize construction, maintenance and operation of a 10.5 mile mountain bike trail system.

Decommission upper road and construct new route with a grade that will allow skiers easier and safer access to the lower runs. Base improvements include a helispot, conveyors, lifts and 4 test wells for snow making.

Salvage up to 250 acres of fire damaged timber, hazard tree mitigation along up to 14 miles of road, range fence repair & hazard tree mitigation, define & delineate spur roads off Fence Creek Road per Motor Vehicle Use Map.

Verizon is proposing to upgrade equipment at the Double Dome Communication Site.

Construct a short (0.7 mile) drift fence to control livestock distribution. Fence will include gates and/or cattleguards where it intersects Forest Routes 2N07 and 2N93.

Extend fence at Duckwall Ridge to prevent cattle trespass from adjacent allotments.

Issue term permit for continued existing use including winter snow surface maintenance (track pack snow from Eagle Creek to private parcel), spring snow removal, normal grading and road maintenance.

Pacific Southwest Research Station (PSW) thinning and under burning studies within approximately 340 acres of the Experimental Forest to provide information on methods to treat ladder fuels and reintroduce fire.

Issue permit for spring development (including water removal) at two sites and installation of a buried water transmission pipeline.

Remove hazard trees that are dead, dying or pose a threat along FS roads 06N06, 06N06A and a portion of 07N83, if they are withing striking distance of the roadway. All trees marked for removal would comply with the Forest Hazard Tree Guidelines.

Construct and designate 3.5 miles of non-motorized multi-use (pedestrian, equestrian and bicycle) and 15 miles of non-motorized bicycle only National Forest System Trails.

Block and restore unauthorized routes along Ferretti Road and Forest Routes 1S21Y, 1S23, 1S33, 1S53Y, 1S81Y, 17EV402 and 17EV406. Reroute Forest Trail 17EV404.

The project proposes improvements to the Ferretti Trails trailhead to improve visitor experience and health and safety while protecting natural resources.

Reissue up to 8 Forest Road Use Authorizations for existing use of public Forest Roads to access private property. Authorizations do not include new improvements.

Replace single lane Fraser Flat Bridge with new two lane bridge that meets present day load weight requirement needs and improves vehicle and pedestrian traffic safety.

Replacement of existing vault restroom facilities at Crabtree X-Country Trailhead, Cascade Creek Campground, Mosquito Lakes, Hermit Valley Campground, and Lodgepole Campground.

Replacement of existing vault and/or flush restroom facilities at the Lake Alpine Campground, Lake Alpine Boat Launch, Pacific Valley Campground, Highland Lake Campground and Cherry Lake Boat Ramp.

Project consists of the replacement of an existing vault restroom facility and associated sitework (including striping and path construction) to create fully accessible facilities at the Columns of the Giants Day Use Area.

Prescribed burn of 640 acres to reduce natural fuel build-up and mimic historic fire regimes for a mixed conifer type ecosystem.

Ecological restoration across portions of a 4,897 acre planning area including: forest health and restoration; reintroduction of fire; aspen restoration; meadow restoration; road, trail and recreation improvements; and, noxious weed eradication.

Decommission the existing Groveland Hotshot office and barracks and rebuild a new office and barracks that meet current building standards.

Using hand tools only, remove large wood debris from stream channel to re-establish original channel as the main channel. Place large wood debris in headcut to stabilize.

Stabilize headcuts, restore meadow hydrology and protect Yosemite toad habitat at six meadows.

Forest restoration treatments including hand, mechanical, prescribed fire, watershed or other actions to promote ecosystem stability across about 13,000 acres. Vegetation treatments follow guidelines from General Technical Report (GTR) 220.

Removal of live or dead trees on National Forest System lands outside of the City and County of San Francisco's power line Right-of-Way having the potential to reach the power lines in the event of tree failure.

Issue a Special Use Permit to re-install a weather station for monitoring precipitation, temperature, windspeed, and relative humidity at the Forest Service Ranger Station at Buck Meadows.

Fall and remove dead and dying trees adjacent to Highway 108.

Using manual and mechanical methods (hand pulling, digging, weed whacking, mowing), treat yellow star-thistle, tocalote and puncturevine sites with the intent to eradicate these species along the highway.

Remove encroaching conifers, primarily lodgepole pine, in Hulls Meadow. Some pines will be removed from the site as biomass, the remainder will be cut, piled and burned on site. Ponderosa pines on the meadow edge will be retained and pruned.

Authorize season long grazing of up to 150 cow/calf pairs from May 15 to September 30 on the Hunter Creek Allotment.

Construct a short (approximately 1/4 mile) drift fence within the Jupiter grazing allotment to improve livestock management.

Demolition of the existing amphitheater and construction of a new amphitheater, including a stage, benches, electrical service (600 LF utility run from decomissioned water treatment plant), and projector pedestal.

Conduct hazardous fuels reduction over approximately 433 acres on the Calaveras Ranger District. Treatments will include mechanical shredding / mastication, hand thinning, and pile burning.

Issue a new permit to replace an expired permit for continued use and maintenance of a cabin providing seasonal quarters for California State Fish and Wildlife employees.

Decommission 1.5 miles of unauthorized routes. Mitigate resource impacts on 1 to 5 acres of dispersed campsites located on or near riparian areas.

Project cancelled on August 31, 2015.

Install rock barriers adjacent to 3N69 to confine vehicles to the road; restore meadow area; restore unauthorized OHV routes; and, install education and enforcement signing.

Exchange of approximately 35.6 acres of National Forest System land, currently under special use authorization to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, located near the Main Lodge north of Highway 203 for approximately 1296.7 acres of private land in California

Improve meadow hydrologic function and habitat by filling-in gullies using onsite materials and re-routing a segment of motorized trail around a meadow.

Construct a native surface Mokelumnme Coast to Crest Trail (MCCT) non-motorized segment (0.75 miles) from 19E94 to 19E43.

Close abandoned mine features at 6 sites and cleanup one dumpsite within the Mi-Wok Ranger District.

Block and restore unauthorized OHV trails and impact areas.

Vegetation treatment of surface and ladder fuels on approximately 1,800 acres in the Middle Fork Tuolumne River area. Treatments will include: mechanical, commercial and precommercial thinning; mastication; and, underburning.

Fuel reduction treatments surrounding Greeley Hill and Wagner Ridge including shredding, biomass, prescribed fire and thinning. Additional treatments include integrated pest management targeting noxious weeds.

Modifications to the National Forest Transportation System including season of use, vehicle type, and addition or removal (restoration) of routes.

Reissue 10 year term special use permit for Mountain House Ski Club authorizing use and occupancy of their ski lodge.

Surface fuels treatments, near locations of Cypripedium montanum to reduce the threat from wildfire to these occurrences including moving surface litter, decomposing woody debris and hand thinning small conifers.

Issuance of a Special Use Permit (SUP) authorizing temporary construction activities including road reconstruction, staging area use and maintenance, and use of National Forest System roads to access and maintain Mountain Tunnel facilities.

Masticate and/or handcut, pile and burn brush and trees <12" dbh to reduce fuels and allow safe fire access and evacuation along approximately one mile of Mt. Elizabeth Drive (2N26).

Issue 30-year term lease to AT&T for installation and operation of a new 100 foot tall communication tower.

Provide a telecommunications link from Collierville Powerhouse to the Murphys Hydroelectric Operations Headquarters. Improvements include two passive repeaters, a passive reflector and a parabolic antenna.

The project would reduce ladder fuels and establish seven 300-foot-wide shaded fuel breaks totaling 22 linear miles (approximately 1,800 acres). Most of the areas proposed for treatment would expand existing fuel breaks.

Block and restore unauthorized and rerouted trails; and reroute and bypass NFTS trail segments.

Prescribed burning on up to 12,000 acres to reduce fuels and increase the resiliency and quality of wildlife habitat.

Hand pulling, grubbing, cutting, burning and solarization of noxious weeds associated with 2008 wildfires on the Groveland Ranger District. Does not include herbicide use.

Build campground at Pedro Flat, near Beardsley Reservoir as part of the FERC relicensing agreement with Tri-Dam to accomodate the users of the Beardsley Reservoir.

Reforest conifers, control noxious weeds, reduce fuels with machinery and prescribed fire, and enhance oak woodland habitat in two areas subject to wildfire in 1999 (Pilot Fire) and 2004 (Early Fire). Project cancelled due to the Rim Fire.

Enhance oak woodland habitat, improve watershed and meadow conditions, reduce fuels, and repair roads in two areas subjected to wildfire in 1999 (Pilot Fire) and 2004 (Early Fire). Project cancelled due to the Rim Fire.

Cal Net proposes to install a wireless telecommunications tower and antennas at an existing fire lookout at the end of Forest Route 2S04. A new 40' monopole tower will hold 3 dish antennas and 2 sector antennas and 2 Cambium sector antennas.

Authorize 5 year term permit for the continuing existing use of a concession operator to show movies at the amphitheater in the Pinecrest Day Use Area.

The Pinecrest Campgrounds (47902) project replaced this project on September 30, 2015.

Fuel reduction on 780 acres within the urban interface around the community of Pinecrest. Treatments would include thinning, pile burning, meadow and riparian restoration and manual noxious weed removal.

Reissue permit for occupancy and maintenance of a manager's residence on lot 107 in the Pinecrest Recreation Residence Tract.

Issue new term permit for continued maintenance and operations of Pinecrest Lake Resort.

Issue new 10-year permits for the continuing existing use of the Pinecrest North Shore Tract Association water system and garages.

Reduce wildfire risk, promote forest health, and protect resource values.

Strategically placed restoration treatments designed to enhance forest ecosystem resilience and resistance to future wildfires and forest mortality factors.

To provide access to private inholding via FS system lands, under a Forest Road SUP authorizing the building, operating, and maintaining access to private property.

Remove merchantable sawlogs and biomass chips from a portion of the Ramsey Fire; and, replant severely burned areas.

Authorize new 10-year permits to 8 Recreation Residence Tract Associations for continued use of tract facilities (roads, water, etc.) and mitigate existing natural resource issues.

Vegetation management, along power transmission lines operated by Hetch Hetchy Water and Power, to meet North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and improve the reliability of the power transmission system.

Remove cabin currently located adjacent to Emigrant Wilderness boundary above Relief Reservoir along the Huckleberry trail.

Reissue special use permit to PG&E for continued use and occupancy of National Forest System lands for the Relief Creek Stream Gage monitoring station.

Thinning to increase structural diversity, improve wildlife habiat, and encourage pine and hardwoods; aspen release; meadow restoration; reintroduction of fire; and road maintenance.

Decommissioning 3.5 miles of unauthorized motorized routes in the Reynolds Creek area.

Reroute 0.25 miles of motorized trail 19EV143 and construct 0.2 miles of new motorized trail for vehicles less than 50 inches wide.

Re-route existing segment of Ridge Trail (non-motorized) from within the Experimental Forest to area north of boundary. Project cancelled on October 22, 2015.

Conifer planting on 93 acres, including mechanical site preparation and release without the use of herbicides.

Post-fire wildlife, watershed, sensitive plants and special aquatic features habitat improvement with hand-only treatments including: pulling noxious weeds; fencing meadows and other sensitive areas; and, creating nest structures for great gray owls

Removal of hazard trees along 194 miles (8,986 acres) of high use roads and across 1,329 acres of National Forest System (NFS) lands within and adjacent to developed facilities.

Salvage dead trees to capture economic value; remove roadside hazard trees to protect public and worker safety; reduce fuels for future forest resiliency; improve roads for hydrologic function; and, enhance wildlife habitat.

About 48,000 acres of treatments on National Forest System lands within the 2013 Rim Fire including: deer habitat enhancement; natural regeneration; noxious weed eradication; reforestation; and, thin existing plantations.

Post-fire wildlife, watershed and range rehabilitation with heavy equipment treatments including: meadow restoration; and, installing water troughs and wildlife guzzlers.

Fence construction (approx. 1.6 miles), water developments (4 troughs or guzzlers), cattleguard installation (4 cattleguards), and new corral construction (3 corrals).

Improve forest health, reduce hazardous fuels, and abate hazardous trees on up to 3,000 acres by commercial and noncommercial thinning, prescribed burning, and vegetation maintenance of roadsides and fuelbreaks.

Construction of approximately 3 miles of trail for walking, hiking and biking in the vicinity of Rush Creek near Yosemite National Park.

This project (cancelled as of September 30, 2015) will be replaced by a new proposal after further studies.

The City of San Jose proposes to repair and replace the fort/shade structure and the retaining wall around the play area, as well as reconstruction of the retaining walls around the north and south sides of the pool area.

Issue special use permit for construction and maintenance of 0.25 miles of road to provide access to private land.

Issuance of a Special Use Permit for installation and maintenance of a slope stabilization structure on less than 1/4 acre of National Forest System land outside the 1913 Raker Act right-of way up directly upslope from the Intake Switchyard facility.

Stablize headcuts and remove encroaching conifers within Shell Meadow.

Improve road encroachment onto CA HWY 120(Caltrans easement)by widening existing driveway, grading and graveling approx. 210' no wider than 20' to enhance ingress/egress and to meet commercial driveway requirements of Tu. Co.

Complete research study in the Stanislaus-Tuolumne Experimental Forest to evaluate tree adaptations to climate change.

Amend Land and Resource Management Plans for ten (10) Forests within the Sierra Nevada region by modifying Management Indicator Species (MIS) lists and associated monitoring strategies.

Modify existing special use permit allowing for upgrades to existing water system.

Construct about 1.0 mile 4WD trail on National Forest land bypassing a 0.75 mile segment of Forest Road 07N17 on private property. Install signs and gates on each end of the bypassed segment of 07N17.

Cal Net proposes to install a wireless telecommunications tower and 10 antennas at the project site.

Conduct vegetation management in strategic locations to reduce fuels and shift forest structure and composition towards a range of natural conditions (natural range of variation) where ecological processes and adaptive capacity can evolve together.

A Stewardship and Fireshed Assessment project to improve forest health and lessen fire danger in the Crocker area between Harden Flat and Yosemite National Park.

Remove hazard trees that pose a threat to the Spring Gap/Donnells Curtis Transmission lines using the Stanislaus Hazard Tree Identification Guidelines.

The Stanislaus National Forest is evaluating its existing management of oversnow vehicle (OSV) use. The goal of this project is to designate system roads, trails and areas where OSV use will be allowed or prohibited.

Construction, installation and maintenace of an underground/overhead powerline required to operate and maintain a new fish screen to be installed at PG&E's Sand Bar Diversion Dam.

Replacement and relocation of the vault restroom facilities at the Anderson Valley Campground and Joe Walt Run Campground. Demolition of existing Anderson Valley facility and replacement with prefabricated vault toilets.

Issue 5-year Special Use Permit for the purposes of maintaining up to 25 apiary sites, each less than 1/10 acre.

Felling and removing hazard trees from Summit Ranger District facilities: campgrounds, trailheads, Ranger Station, guard stations, fire stations, barracks, and buildings under special use permit (recreational residences, camps/lodges/Ski Resort).

Winter snow trail grooming and other winter recreation maintenance on Highway 108 and Eagle Meadow Road.

Decommission and restore unauthorized route segments, reduce the size of one pullout and remove dispersed campsites that are too close to the creek at one location.

This project proposes to amend special use permit CAL84 to include an additional 30,000-gallon tank. The purpose of the additional water tank installation is to provide increased water storage for residences and fire suppression within the community.

Reduce surface and ladder fuels, pile and burn, within 300 feet of private property.

Restore lookout cabin and convert to rental program. Repair access trail. Includes Forest Plan Amendment changing site from Developed Non-Recreation to Developed Recreation.

Repair historic earthern dam, restore pond habitat and block unauthorized vehicle access with boulders placed along Forest Road 3N15.

About 200 acres of fuels reduction and forest health improvement protecting the Tuolumne Main Canal from wildfire and ongoing drought and insect mortality; includes commercial and non-commercial thinning, mastication, chipping, piling and burning.

Issue two permits for up to 10 years each, allowing for the continued occupancy, use, operations and maintenance of existing improvements at Center Camp.

Improve Great Gray Owl breeding habitat by creating 2 to 3 nesting structures in forested stands adjacent to Fahey and Wolfin Meadows.

Improving meadow function in 5 meadows and associated streams raising water tables nearer to natural levels. Treatments include stabilizing banks and headcuts, revegetation with native species and subsoiling compacted areas.

Block and restore unauthorized and rerouted trails; construct a combined use bypass trial along 3N01; reroute and bypass NFTS trail segments; and, designate a rock barrier source.

Control noxious weeds on 11 acres near Reed Creek with the herbicide glyphosate.

Vegetation management for fuels, forest health and restoration, hardwood and wildlife habitat improvement, and economic objectives on 7,700 acres utilizing thinning, biomass removal, shredding, prescribed fire and herbicides.

Push apart windrowed materials to restore soil productivity on approximately 24 acres of volcanic soils in a ponderosa pine plantation that was established after the 1950 Wrights Creek Burn.

Physical road actions and access designation changes to minimize resource damage and move the road system toward one that can be efficiently maintained while also providing access for management and public use.

The use of an existing national forest system road during the construction of Under Canvas development.

Reissue up to 5 permits for existing water tanks and/or water transmission lines less than 12 inch diameter; authorizations do not include removal of water from public lands or new improvements.

Prescribe fire, fuel break maintenance, mechanical thinning, biomass, mastication, and road improvement activities designed to improve the health of forest plantations and watershed conditions.

Reroute a section of the Westside Railroad Trail that washed out in storm a event on March 20, 2011. The reroute would go upstream of the failure and be approximately 450 feet long.

Issue a permit allowing construction, use and maintenance of 0.28 miles of road on National Forest System lands to access private property off 1S07.
