Dowdy Lake Campground Restrictions

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b), the following is prohibited in the Dowdy Lake Campground and area within the Roosevelt National Forest: CAMPING Camping within 300 feet of the east shore of Dowdy Lake, except in developed recreation sites. 36 CFR 261.58 (e). VEHICLES Motor vehicle travel over the North Dowdy Lake Road No. 218.1A, Middle Weber Road No. 218.1E, and Weber Road No. 218.1C during the period May 1 to September 30 as shown on the attached map. 36 CFR 261.54 (e). Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e), the following persons are exempt from this order: 1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission. 2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.
