AA Bar Ranch (AA Barn) Group Picnic Site

Located next to the Colorado River, the AA Barn is a reservable, day-use site for group picnics and other gatherings, with nearby attractions such as Rocky Mountain National Park, Shadow Mountain Reservoir, Lake Granby and Grand Lake. The barn is located within the Arapaho National Recreation Area and is ¼ mile southeast of the Green Ridge Campground.

General Information

Site reservations grant users access to the inside of the historic barn, nearby parking, one ADA accessible toilet, and use of the picnic tables and chairs for their event. 

Daylight hours. Open June 1 - Sept. 30.

  • Reservations are required.
  • Maximum group size is 100 people.
  • Dogs must be on leash at all times.
  • Day use only.
  • No amplified music.

$100 per day for use of the site. The Arapaho National Recreation Area fee is waived for members of the group who remain on site.

Dogs must be on leash at all times.

Directions

Take highway 34 to Green Ridge Complex (County Road 66, Forest Road 274). Turn right on CR 66 and drive to end. Access through gate is issued with reservation.
