LaSalle Pass West and Elevenmile Canyon Entrance Seasonal Restriction
This order affects the South Park Ranger District.
The purpose of the order is to protect active nest sites of birds of prey pursuant to the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act (16 U.S.C. §§ 668-668d) and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918 (16 U.S.C. §§ 703–712).

Forest Order
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(a), the following act is prohibited on National Forest System lands within the LaSalle Pass West and Elevenmile Canyon Entrance areas of the South Park Ranger District of the Pike National Forest, which are described in detail below and depicted on the attached maps incorporated into this Order as Exhibits A and B (the “Restricted Areas”).
- Going into or being upon the Restricted Areas between January 1 and July 31 of each year. 36 C.F.R. § 261.53(a)
- Restricted activities include but are not limited to motorized use, nonmotorized use, climbing, rappelling, shooting, hiking, fishing, kayaking, drone flying and any and all other human or mechanical presence within the Restricted Areas.
