    This order affects all districts on the Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands.

    The purpose of this order is for protection of public health and safety and resource protection due to flood potential and environmental and facilities damage within the Hayman Burn Area.

Forest Order

Pursuant to 36 CFR, Section 261.50(a), the following acts are prohibited on all National Forest System Lands within the Pike and San Isabel National Forests, and the Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands until further notice. 

  1. Camping in an area, developed site or campground that is posted as closed to camping. 36 CFR 261.58(e) Pursuant to 36 CFR, Section 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order: (1) Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.
  2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
