Green Mountain Campground
Located southwest of Denver, at an elevation of 7,500 feet, Green Mountain Campground offers a wonderful opportunity for individuals or families to enjoy the great outdoors. South Fork Buffalo Creek runs through the campground, and there are numerous nonmotorized, multiuse trails nearby. Green Mountain Campground is far enough away from town but still close enough that the drive to and from home is an enjoyable getaway.
Tent camping only.
All dates are weather dependent. Visitors may expect full-service Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. The area also has an extended season when services such as water, trash or a host may not be available during the fall/winter/spring. Host is located down the road at Buffalo Campground.

Green Mountain Campground is a popular campground listed in recreation guides and books. Limited availability is common at this campground.
All sites are first come, first served and must be occupied to be considered nonvacant.

Check out: 12 p.m.
Quiet hours: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The following restrictions apply to this campground:
- A maximum eight people, two tents and two vehicles is allowed per site.
- Pets must be on a leash at all times.
- No discharge of firearms or fireworks is permitted.
- Only licensed vehicles can operate inside the campground.
- Camping is not allowed behind a locked gate.
Note: Green Mountain Campground is tent camping only.
The Interagency Senior Pass and the Interagency Access Pass qualify for a 50% discount at concessionaire-run campsites. The discount only applies to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass owner, not to any additional campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass owner's party.
$24 fee per site for overnight tent camping. Two vehicles per site are included in the camping fee. $11 fee for a third vehicle.
$11 fee for day use if not camping overnight.
Fees are payable by cash, check or money order.
Pets must be on a leash at all times.

Directions
From Denver, travel on U.S. Highway 285 to Pine Junction and turn onto Jefferson County Road 126 for 13.5 miles to Forest System Road 550. Travel west for 5.5 miles. Stay left for another 2.5 miles. Green Mountain campground will be on the left.
