Recreation Region: Pikes Peak Ranger District

Rampart Reservoir Recreation Area

The area is located 4.2 miles east of Woodland Park on Rampart Range Road (Forest Service Road 300). Swimming, wading, and all body contact with the water in the reservoir is prohibited. Coast guard approved life jackets are required onboard for every person on every watercraft, including kayaks, paddleboards and canoes. NOTE: ANS inspection station typically closes one week prior to Rampart Reservoir Rec Area closing therefore, trailered and motorized watercraft entry ends when ANS inspections close for the year.

**Be advised that the road is a rough, rutted, washboard, native surface road and the posted speed limit is 20 mph.  Hauling boat or camper trailers can make this drive especially difficult and slow.
