Beri ATV Trail
Beri ATV Trail #812 begins and ends at Middle Mountain Road, Forest Road 724. Middle Mountain Road head north of Vallecito Reservoir. The trail has lovely views through the trees as it climbs, especially in fall when the aspens change color. It gains over 1,000 feet as it winds up the mountain over 3 miles.
The trail's southern half is pretty rocky and steep, with more enormous embedded slabs of rock and boulders. A scenic spur up the Beri View trail during the southern half of the trail takes you up a rocky trail to a nice view. After 1.2 miles, it connects to the Middle Mountain Road, but the trail picks back up around the next corner of the road. The northern half of the trail is a bit easier, with fewer embedded boulders and ledges. It ends on another section of Middle Mountain Road.
This trail is popular with Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs).

Directions
From Durango, CO: Take Florida Road, CR 240 until CR 501 and turn north. Follow along Lemon Reservoir until the northeast corner, turning north on Middle Mountain Road (FR 724). FR 724 is seasonally closed during winter months.
