GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (April 23, 2025) – The Ruedi Reservoir boat ramp and parking area will undergo heavy maintenance May 1 through May 16 this season, delaying the typical May 1 opening by several weeks to May 17.
The work will include removing vegetation, sealing the lot, and repainting the lane strips for better ingress and egress. If the work is completed early, the lot and ramp will open early. For the latest status, visit www.fs.usda.gov/whiteriver.
“We appreciate people’s patience as we make these important improvements for the benefit and safety of the public,” said Aspen-Sopris District Ranger Kevin Warner.
Boat inspections are required to help prevent the spread of zebra and quagga mussels into Ruedi Reservoir. The 2025 summer hours for mandatory boat inspections at the Ruedi Boat Ramp are:
- May 17 - June 27 – 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- June 28 – Sept. 1 – 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
