West Sedona Designated Dispersed Camping Area

The West Sedona Designated Dispersed Camping Area includes eight main areas that offer roughly 200 total campsites.

Dispersed camping in these designated areas will remain free and are on a first-come, first-served basis that allow up to 14 days of camping. Dispersed camping in west Sedona outside of these eight designated sites is prohibited.

General Information

Please read the dispersed camping etiquette guide on our Safety and Outdoor Ethics page in advance of your visit.

  • Charcoal and wood campfires are prohibited at all times. However, stoves and grills operating solely on liquified petroleum gas that can be turned on and off ARE allowed.
  • Abide by all posted fire restrictions.
  • A 14-day stay limit is in effect.
