Eagle Peak #768 Trailhead

Trailhead for Eagle Peak Trail #768.

Year-round

Parking is available overnight; occupancy and use at the trailhead is dawn to dusk.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

No fees are required for this site

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

Directions

From Reserve, travel north on New Mexico Highway 12 for approximately 2.5 miles to Forest Road 233, between mileposts 9 and 10. Turn right (east) onto Forest Road 233 fopr 9 miles to Forest Road 4166 E on the south (right) side of the road. Follow Forest Road 4166 E for 0.25 mile to the trailhead, at the intersection with Forest Road 4166 F.
