Roosevelt Lake Seasonal Wildlife Closure

PURSUANT TO 36 CFR 261.50(a), the following restriction ls established within two parts of the "Roosevelt Lake Wildlife Area• within the Tonto Basin Ranger District of the Tonto National Forest, located in portions of Sections 25, 27, 28, 34, and 36, TS N., R11 E., Sections 30, 31, 32, and 33, T5 N., R12 E., and Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 16, and 17, T4 N., R12 E. (as shown on the attached map which Is hereby made a part of this Order):

Going Into or being upon the designated areas from November 15 through February 15, annually. 36 CFR 261.53(b)

These areas are closed for the protection of a special biological community. This restriction Is In addition to those prohibitions enumerated in Subpart A of 36 CFR 261 and any other special restrictions pertaining to the described lands. Also, see Arizona Game & Fish Commission Order No. 1. 

PURSUANT TO 36 CFR 261.S0(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

1. Persons with written authorization by a Forest Officer which authorizes the otherwise prohibited activity.
2. Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force In the performance of an official duty.
