Boating in the Bridger-Teton National Forest requires planning, skill, and in the Snake River Canyon, a permit. Regardless of experience, recreating on the water poses significant risks. Know the regulations and safety requirements for boating in the National Forest before you go.

Things to Know 
Before you boat in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, review all regulations including Wyoming State boating regulations.

Boating - Motorized

Motor boats are allowed on many lakes and rivers.

Boating - Non-Motorized

Non-motorized boating is offered on all of the Bridger-Teton lakes and rivers.

Swimming

Swimming opportunities are available on all Bridger-Teton National Forest lakes and rivers. No bodies of water are prohibited from human contact.
