Ashton Reservoir

Ashton Reservoir, located just north of Ashton along Henry's Fork of the Snake River, provides excellent trout fishing, water skiing, and canoeing. There is a power plant at the dam just west of Ashton and a beautiful ribbon waterfall by this dam. The Reservoir and facilities are maintained by PacificCorp Energy personnel.

General Information

Rocky Mountain Power has drawn down the Ashton Reservior to repair the dam. This should be completed by 2012.

Heading north on Highway 20 from Ashton, ID drive for approximately 3 miles, turn left on the other side of the bridge over the Henry's Fork River, drive approximately .3 miles and turn left to go down to the boat ramp.
