Little Reservoir Campground

Overview
Little Reservoir campground is located on the Beaver Ranger District off of Kent's Lake Road (FR-137). The campground runs adjacent to Little Reservoir and offers beautiful views, good fishing opportunities and bird watching. 

Facilities
There are eight single-family campsites. Sites are back-in only and will accommodate RV's and trailers between 22-to-40 feet long, varying from site to site. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, fire pit and grill. Drinking water is available at three locations throughout the campground and is offered during the operating season. There are three vault toilet bathrooms available, two are single occupancy, and one is double occupancy. Campsite #4 is an ADA accessible site, and a paved trail suitable for wheelchairs leads down to the reservoir for fishing. *Please note that no trash receptacles or garbage service is available in the campground. Campers need to come prepared to pack out all garbage. Dumpsters are located at the base of Beaver Canyon.

Natural Features
Visitors can enjoy shade from ponderosa pine, pinion, and scrub oak that covers about half of the area and campsites.

Recreation
During the summer, many people enjoy fishing, birdwatching and nearby hiking and off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails. Winter activities in the area include ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. 

Reservations

Little Reservoir campsites are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. These sites are not available to reserve in advance online or by phone. You must physically arrive at the facility to see if the site is available. There is no guarantee these sites will be available to purchase upon your arrival. Payment for day use and overnight camping must be paid upon arrival. Envelopes and fee information are provided at the Pay Tube, located next to the campground's Information Kiosk.

General Information

Little Reservoir is a small mountain impoundment that covers four surface acres and has been stabilized and maintained by the Fishlake National Forest. The lake is stocked annually with rainbow trout which provide the bulk of the fishing opportunity. Brown trout and tiger trout are also stocked regularly and forage on the abundant redside shiners. Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Restrictions

  • Open to all street legal vehicles, including street legal ATV/UTV for ingress and egress only.
  • Pets are required to be on a leash.
  • Fireworks are prohibited.
  • 16-day, 15-night camping limit

Passes
America the Beautiful Passes (Senior, Access, and Military) are honored at Campgrounds managed by High Country Recreation on the Fishlake National Forest and offer a 50% discount on most single sites. Some restrictions apply. Federal Recreation Passes can be purchased at any ranger district office or at Recreational Passes | USGS Store.  

  • Pass must be valid. No expired passes will be accepted.
  • Must present card to campground host for first-come-first-serve sites.
  • Card information may be added at checkout for valid sites when making reservations through Recreation.gov.

Fees are subject to change seasonally. Information regarding nightly fees and day use fees can be found in the campground posted on the kiosk. Fees for day use and overnight camping should be paid using envelopes provided at the kiosk and deposited in the pay tube within 30 minutes of arrival.

All campgrounds on the Fishlake National Forest are managed by High Country Recreation under the terms and conditions of a concession permit that was issued to them by the Forest Service in 2020
 

  • Pets must be leashed at all times within this recreation area. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and to protect wildlife.
  • Clean up dog waste and dispose of it properly.
  • Keep dogs from chasing, harassing, and disturbing wildlife, livestock or other visitors

Directions

Little Reservoir Campground is located approximately 11 miles southeast of Beaver, Utah.  From Beaver, travel east on Hwy-153 for 10 miles. Turn right on Kents Lake Road (FR-137) for 0.8 miles. The campground is located on the right (south) side of the road.

Parking

  • Gravel day use parking area located within the campground
  • Sites are back-in only, no pull through options are available.
  • Sites can accommodate RV's and trailers between 22-to-40 feet long (trailer capacity varies from site to site).
