Barley Creek Trailhead/Campground

The Barley Creek Campground is co-located with the Barley Creek Trailhead near the Table Mountain Wilderness. Trails just outside of the trailhead/campground lead into the Table Mountain Wilderness and the site is very popular amongst locals and hunters.

General Information

  • The campground and trailhead has 7 camp units, equestrian corrals, hitching posts, and vault toilets.

May - October, as weather allows.

Open 24 hours/day

  • Dogs must be on a leash at trailhead.
  • Certified weed free hay required.

No Fees are required for this site.

Front of the Austin-Tonopah Ranger District's  Tonopah Office that is cream with dark brown trim and roof.

Directions

From Tonopah, NV, travel east on US-6 for 5.4 miles, then turn left onto NV-376 north for 13.3 miles. Turn right onto NV-82 and continue for 28 miles before turning right onto MCR974260 Rd and then a sharp left to the MCR974555 Rd, continuing for approx. 7.35 miles. Take slight left onto NF-005 and continue for 0.9 miles, then left onto Barley Creek Rd (NF-005). Continue for 4 miles to the trailhead and campground.
