Pleasant Grove Ranger District Camping, Motor Vehicle Use and Shooting
The following rules apply year-round in the Uinta National Forest, Pleasant Grove Ranger District:
Prohibited Activities:
- Camping outside developed campgrounds.
- Driving motor vehicles off forest roads.
- Shooting guns, air rifles, or gas guns except during hunting season.
Where:
- 200 feet on each side of SR-92 (Alpine Scenic Loop) from the mouth of American Fork Canyon to the road closure gate above the Mutual Dell organization site
- 200 feet on each side of Forest Roads 085 (North Fork Road) and 008 (Granite Flat Road) from SR-92 to Granite Flat Campground.

SPECIAL ORDER
OCCUPANCY AND USE
UINTA NATIONAL FOREST
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 a and b, the following acts are prohibited in the area described
below which is on the Uinta National Forest. This notice will remain in effect on a year
round basis until further notice.
The following are prohibited:
- Camping in areas outside of developed campgrounds (261.58e)
- Use of motor vehicles off of forest development roads (261.56)
- Discharging a firearm, air rifle, or gas gun except during established hunting seasons
(261.58m)
This area is such that no exemptions are allowed.
This closure is for protection of natural resources and public health and safety.
AREA DESIGNATED
Two hundred feet on each side of the center line of SR92 (Alpine Scenic Loop) from the forest boundary at the mouth of American Fork Canyon to the road closure gate above the Mutual Dell organization site (Sections33, 32, 28,27,26, 25, 24, T. 4 S., R 2 E., and Sections 19, 30, and 29, T. 4 S., R 3 E.)
Two hundred feet on each side of the center line of forest roads 085 (the North Fork Road) and 008 (the Granite Flat Road) from the junction of 085 with SR92 to the Granite Flat Campground (Section 24, T. 4 S., R. 2 E and Sections 19, 18, and 7, T. 4 S., R 3 E., SLBM)
Violation of this prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment of not more than 6 months, or both, (16 USC 551 and 7 USC 1011 f).
