Alpine Summit Trailhead (Pleasant Grove Ranger District)

The "Summit" Trailhead is a very small trailhead located along SR-92/Timpanogos Hwy/Alpine Scenic Loop in American Fork Canyon. There are several motorized and non-motorized trails that transect this area. 

Current Conditions
Trailhead is not accessible by vehicles (car/truck) during the winter.

General Information

No overnight camping or campfires within 1/4 mile of the Alpine Loop except in designated camping areas. 

Day Use:
$10 per vehicle per three day
$20 per vehicle per seven day
$60 per vehicle per season

We honor all Interagency "America the Beautiful" National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Passes, and Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest Passes. 
Please have your pass on display while parked. 

Must be leashed.

Directions

From I-15 take exit 284 for Timpanogos Hwy, head East on SR-92 follow the signs for SR-92/ Alpine Loop. 

From US-189 Provo Canyon take the Sundance/ Alpine Loop exit, travel West follow the signs for SR-92/ Alpine Loop.

Travel Considerations

Due to popularity avoid weekends and holidays. 

Parking

 Please do not park in no parking zones, the lane of travel or block access for emergency vehicles. Ticketing and towing are strictly enforced for illegally parked vehicles.
