Volunteers are the heart beat of the Forest Service. The types of work a volunteer can perform are many and varied. It is a program that has something for everyone - retirees, professionals, students, and young people, as well as service clubs and youth groups.

Some volunteers work full-time for a short period of time, while others donate a few hours a day each week or contribute a one-time service. If you would like to volunteer for any of the projects listed on the linked pages below, or would like to speak with someone regarding volunteering please contact us.

In general, volunteers should be prepared with long-sleeved shirts, long pants, boots, and gloves; we will provide hard hats and other protective equipment when necessary. We appreciate your willingness to donate your time and services. View Intermountain Region Volunteer Opportunities.
