Mono Basin Region

This region encompasses Mono Lake,  South Tufa, the Panum Craters, Mono Mills and Tioga Pass. To protect the outstanding geologic, ecologic and scenic resources of Mono Basin, it was designated as a National Forest Scenic Area by Congress in 1984.
