Boating - Non-Motorized

Non-motorized boating activities like kayaking, canoeing, etc. are available at more locations than allow for motorized. In addition to the locations listed above, check out: Ellery Lake, Tioga Lake and Horseshoe Lake!

Swimming

There are no designated swimming areas on the Inyo, but there are plenty of water bodies to swim in! Be sure to take care of you and your family's safety while swimming regarding personal floatation devices, water currents, temperature of the water that could cause hypothermia, and while swimming near motorized boats.

Waterskiing

Waterskiing is usually seen on Grant Lake, as this is the largest lake for boats to pick up enough speed at 1,100 acres and three miles long.

Windsurfing

This sport is usually seen on June Lake and Grant Lake, where the wind patters funnel through the area in a relatively steady direction.
