Winter Sports
In winter, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, skijoring, and cross-country skiing are popular. Many of the snow trails are regularly groomed. The Mt Ashland Ski Area is just outside the northern boundary of the Forest and cross-country trails from the resort enter into the Forest.
The Goosenest Ranger District includes 135 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. The Klamath trails connect to the Modoc and Shasta-Trinity National Forests, forming a 250-mile network.
