High Meadows Trailhead is located on the southeast end of Lake Tahoe near the City of South Lake Tahoe and Heavenly Mountain Resort. Access the trailhead via High Meadows Road.

Seasonal Parking; No restrooms/trash service in winter; Campfires (wood, charcoal or other solid fuels) are not permitted at the trailhead nor in Desolation Wilderness; No camping or overnighting at the trailhead.
