Forest-Wide Camping Stay Limits Order
The order prohibits camping outside of a Developed Recreation Site for longer than 7 days in designated areas and longer than 15 days within any 30-day period in the remaining areas on the Forest. It also prohibits camping for more than 30 cumulative days in any 12-month period. These stay limits are needed to reduce environmental impacts associated with long-term established residential camps, to help reduce the public safety incidents related to unauthorized residential camping and allow areas to be available for others to enjoy.
