In coordination with the Sierra National Forest, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) worked with contractors to rebuild Norris Creek Bridge. The newly reopened bridge is now two lanes and restores essential access to camping, hiking, and sightseeing in remote areas. Restoring Norris Creek Bridge is part of the agency’s larger effort to restore access and rebuild infrastructure.

With funding from the FHWA, the Norris Creek Bridge restoration was a complex multi-year project that brought back "full circle" access along the Scenic Byway, between Minarets Road and Beasore Road. The new structure improves safety, meeting modern standards for infrastructure durability and increased environmental resilience.
