Application Portal for Seasonal Hires Now Open

(Sonora, CA, February 20, 2026) --– The application portal on USAJobs for a wide range of seasonal positions on the Stanislaus National Forest is now open and will accept applications through March 3.
Individuals interested in the available positions should visit the Forest Service’s Summer Seasonal Hiring Page for the full list of positions.
In addition to the open application portal, the Stanislaus National Forest will host a series of open houses to assist interested candidates in navigating the USAJobs application portal and submitting their application.
Saturday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 28 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Forest Headquarters, 19777 Greenley Road, Sonora, CA, lower conference room
Multiple Stanislaus National Forest staff members from the Supervisor’s Office, the Sugar Pine Ranger District and the Groveland Ranger District will be available to review resumes (adhering to the new two-page resume format), walk candidates through the USAJobs hiring portal and answer any questions individuals may have.
Wednesday, Feb. 25 - 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Calaveras Ranger Office, 5519 Highway 4, Hathaway Pine, CA
Multiple staff members from the Calaveras Ranger District will be available to review resumes (adhering to the new two-page resume format), walk candidates through the USAJobs hiring portal and answer any questions individuals may have.
The application period opens Friday, February 20 and is expected to close on March 2. It is important to note individuals will not be hired during these events but the goal would be to get them applied for positions. It is recommended that individuals bring their own laptop (wifi hotspots will be available) with their prepared resume.
