Bell Creek Trail (#459)
This little-used trail promises solitude as it passes through old-growth stands of Douglas-fir, western redcedar and hemlock. The trail begins at Oneonta Trail #424 and ends at Horsetail Creek Trail #425.
Access from upper end is limited by closure of Larch Mountain Road gate at milepost 10 from November through May.

A valid Recreation Pass is required at nearby Larch Mountain trailhead.
Motor vehicles and bikes are prohibited. Fires not allowed within 200 feet of trail.
Getting There
Directions
From Portland, OR: Travel east on Interstate 84 just past Troutdale then take exit 18, Lewis and Clark State Park. At the end of the off-ramp, turn left (south) onto the Historic Columbia River Highway and follow the highway through Corbett. Two miles east of Corbett, the road forks. Take a right onto Larch Mountain Road and follow the road approximately 14 miles and look for Oneonta Trail #424 junction on the right side of the road about 1/4 mile before Larch Mountain Trailhead. Hike Oneonta Trail 3 miles to Bell Creek. Or access from Horsetail Creek Trail #425, which junctions with the Oneonta Trail 1.3 miles from the trailhead. Oneonta Creek at the bottom of Horsetail Creek Trail is impassable in the winter and spring.
From Cascade Locks, OR: Travel west on Interstate 84 approximately 21 miles and take exit 22, Corbett Exit/NE Corbett Hill Road. Follow NE Corbett Hill Road until it intersects with East Historic Columbia River Highway. Turn left onto the Historic Highway and travel 2 miles until the road forks. Take a right onto Larch Mountain road and follow the directions above.
