GIFFORD PINCHOT NATIONAL FOREST

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b) the following acts are prohibited on Packwood Lake within the GIFFORD PINCHOT NATIONAL FOREST, until rescinded.

  1. Landing of aircraft or dropping or picking up any material, supplies, or person by means of an aircraft, including a helicopter. 36 CFR 261.58(y)
  2. Possessing or transporting any motor or mechanical device capable of propelling a watercraft through water by any means. 36 CFR 261.58(w)

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following are exempt from this order:

  1. Any Federal, State or local law enforcement officer or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force, or Forest Officer, or Forest Service Volunteer, or Forest Service Human Resource Program Enrollee in the performance of an official duty, only to the extent necessary to perform those official duties.

Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act.
