    Wilderness permits are required when entering Glacier View, Indian Heaven, Mt. Adams, Tatoosh, Trapper Creek, Goat Rocks, and William 0. Douglas Wildernesses. Required Wilderness permits are free and self issued at trailheads.

WILDERNESS

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (a), the following act is prohibited in the Glacier View, Indian Heaven, Mt. Adams, Tatoosh, and Trapper Creek Wildernesses on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, and the Goat Rocks, and William 0. Douglas Wildernesses on the Gifford Pinchot and Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie (administered by the Wenatchee National Forest) National Forests.

  1. Entering or being in the 36 CFR 261. 57(a)

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e), the following are exempt from this order:

  1. Persons with a permit authorizing the otherwise prohibited
  2. Any Federal, State, or Local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
