  • FR 46 Closure on Willamette may impact Clackamas River RD Visitors

Through the month of June, Forest Road (FR) 46 on the Detroit Ranger District in Willamette National Forest will have scheduled closures between Fox Creek and Cleator Bend Campgrounds. The road closure is required to repair a large fill failure at mile post 8.6, near Cleator Bend.

If you are traveling between Detroit and the Mt. Hood National Forest along FR 46, you will need to plan ahead!

For details, visit the Willamette National Forest's website.

If drivers wish to travel this area during the closure they will need to take a marked detour traveling on both the Willamette and Mt. Hood National Forests. Please see the detour map to see if you may be affected and to plan your route. Please be aware that a portion of FR 6350 (Mt. Hood) is currently an active haul route and log trucks may be on the road.
