Mirror Lake Sno-Park & Trailhead

A new parking lot and plaza area was finished in the fall of 2018, located immediately adjacent to Skibowl West along Highway 26 near Government Camp. The plaza area includes a picnic table, information kiosk, bike racks, 2 vault toilets, and a trash receptacle. 

The parking area contains 2 accessible parking spaces and 49 regular parking spaces. The trailhead is located behind the restroom. 

Provides access to: Mirror Lake Trail #664, which accesses Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness.

Current Conditions
Oregon Sno-Park permit is required from November 1 through April 30.

General Information

Year-round. Winter/spring use requires skis or snowshoes.

Wilderness regulations apply within Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness.

Oregon Sno-Park permit is required in designated sno-parks from November 1- April 30.  Permits are sold in DMV field offices and by permit sales agents at various locations like winter resorts, sporting goods stores and other retail outlets.
Federal recreation Passes may be used as a form of day use fee payment.

Day Use:
$5 per vehicle per day
$30 per annual

Day use:

  • $5/vehicle/day May 1 through October 31
  • Northwest Forest pass and Interagency pass is accepted in lieu of day use fee.

  • Sno-Park Permit is required.
    • Annual Permit: $25
    • 3-day Permit: $9
    • 1-day Permit: $4

Directions

From Portland, OR - travel 27 miles east of Sandy on US Hwy 26 and turn right into the Skibowl West/Mirror Lake Trailhead parking area. 

From Government Camp, OR - From the west end of the Government Camp Loop Rd.  turn right (West) onto Hwy 26.  Travel 0.4miles West on Hwy 26 to the Mirror Lake Trailhead Parking Are which will be on your left.
