North Arm Campground (Timothy Lake)

The North Arm Campground is tucked away on the north shore of Timothy Lake, in the shadow of Mt. Hood. The campground has a boat launch and dock, limited parking, and water. The campground offers 12 campsites for tent and RV camping, plus four additional hike-to campsites for those looking for a more rugged experience. The campground offers fishing, swimming, and access to the popular Timothy Lake Trail.

All sites at North Arm Campground are reservable. If reservable sites are open, they are first come, first served for one night. Discount applies only to the site physically occupied by the pass holder. It does not extend to any additional fee(s) or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party.

General Information

This site is operated by Portland General Electric in partnership with the US Forest Service.

Open Friday of Memorial Day weekend through the second full weekend of September.

Campground open 24 hours/day. Day use hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

10 mph speed limit for motorized boats on the lake.

Camping: 50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age or Golden Access. Discount applies only the site physically occupied by the pass holder. It does not extend to any additional fee(s) or campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass holder's party.
Day use: Recreation Passes may be used as a form of fee payment.

Overnight Use (Sites are reservable; standard reservation fees apply.)
Single Site: $28 per night
Hike-to Site: $24 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night
Holiday Weekend Fee: $2 per night
Premium (lakeside) Site: $2 per night
Day Use: $10 per vehicle per day

All pets must be kept on a leash.

Directions

From Sandy, OR - Travel east on U.S. Highway 26 for approximately 40 miles to Skyline Road (Rd 42). Turn right on Skyline Road, travel south 9 miles. Turn right on FS Road 57, west 2+ miles, go over Timothy Lake Dam. Turn right on to Forest Road 5810, head north past Forest Roads 5830, 5850 and 5860, to Forest Road 5890. Follow Forest Road 5890 south to Forest Road 5890-012. Follow Forest Road 5890-012 south to the campground.
