Pursuant to 16 USC § 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50(a) and (b), and to provide for public safety, the following acts are prohibited within the Entiat Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. This Order is effective June 18, 2025 and will remain in effect through October 15, 2025 unless rescinded sooner.

PROHIBITIONS:
1. Entering into or being upon National Forest System lands, as described below and displayed on the attached map, Exhibit A [36 CFR § 261.53(e)].
2. Being on a National Forest System trail, as described below and displayed on the attached map, Exhibit A [36 CFR § 261.55(a)].

CLOSURE AREA DESCRIPTION:
The Pomas Fire Area Closure is defined as follows:
The closure encompasses the portion of the Glacier Peak Wilderness contained within the Entiat Ranger District. Specifically, the closure area boundary begins at Rampart Mountain in T29N R17E section 4 and follows the crest of Entiat Ridge north to the summit of Seven Fingered Jack in T31N R16E section 26. The closure boundary continues to the east and south along crest of the Chelan Mountains and the boundary of the Chelan and Entiat Ranger Districts to the wilderness boundary in T30N R18E section 8. The closure boundary then follows the wilderness boundary south and west to its origin at Rampart Mountain.
In addition to the area described above, the entirety of the Entiat River Trail #1400, the Cow Creek Trail #1404, and the Myrtle Lake trail #1404A are closed.

• Trail #1432 (45 MILE DRIVE TRAIL)
• Trail #1434 (DUNCAN HILLL TRAIL) from the wilderness boundary to the junction with Trail #1230
• Trail #1435 (ANTHEM CREEK TRAIL)
• Trail #1433 (PYRAMID MOUNTAIN TRAIL) from Saska Pass to the junction with Trail #1230

EXEMPTIONS:
Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:
1. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire-fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
2. Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails, or Areas Restricted by Regulation Order), specifically exempting them from this Order.
These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.
Violations of these prohibitions are punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 for an individual or $10,000.00 for a corporation, or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. (16 USC § 551; 18 USC §§ 3551, 3571, and 3581.)
