Ballard Campground

This forested campground is located along the West Fork Methow River gives access to nearby hiking trails: Robinson Creek Trail #478 and Monument Creek Trail #484 entering the Pasayten Wilderness and the West Fork Methow Trail #480. This site is also a good base camp for scenic drives, hiking at Harts Pass, or climbing in the Lost River area.

Reservations

This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. 

General Information

Typically accessible May - October

(2 vehicles per site maximum) 2 tents or 1 RV and 1 tent maximum per site

50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access. Applies to fee for site occupied by the pass holder.

Trailers: 28 feet maximum

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $10 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee : $5 per vehicle per night

From Winthrop, drive 15 miles west on Highway 20, turn right onto Lost River Road, drive 7.5 miles on pavement and continue another 1.5 miles on gravel forest road 5400 to Ballard Campground on left side of road.
