Echo Ridge Recreation Area Trailheads

Echo Ridge recreation area, located 11 miles north of Chelan, offers year-round recreation opportunities. During the winter, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing occurs on 25 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails. In the summer, it features a network of over 30 miles of mountain biking trails. 

Summer trailheads include Switchback, The Shoe, Lower, Upper, and North Junction. 

Winter trailheads include Zoom, Snowshoe, Lower, and Upper. 

Lake Chelan Nordic Club grooms the trails in winter, go to their website for grooming information.

No camping or campfires are allowed in the Echo Ridge area.

General Information

WINTER RECREATION PASSES: Echo Ridge Annual passes are $100 per person; those 17 years old and younger are free. Day passes are available at the trailhead which are $15 per person and 17 years and younger are free. Please bring cash or check. No other passes are accepted during the winter months including the Northwest Forest and Interagency Pass. 

REST OF THE YEAR FEES - Northwest Forest Pass, Interagency Pass, Echo Ridge Annual Pass or a day pass ($5/day per vehicle) are required at the Shoe, Lower and Upper Lot.

Directions

From Chelan, travel 1.5 miles west Highway 150 to Boyd Road. Turn right on Boyd Road and follow the signs for 7 miles to the Echo Valley Ski Area. Continue 2 miles past Echo Valley on Forest Road #8021-130 to the Echo Ridge Recreational Area Trailheads to access Echo Ridge Trails #1290-1299.
