Illinois River Road Seasonal Restrictions

FIRE AND OCCUPANCY AND USE: PARKING

Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited within the Wild Rivers Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. This Order is effective June 1, 2026, through October 31, 2026, unless sooner rescinded.

PROHIBITIONS:

1. Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, except in designated Forest Service fire rings. [36 CFR 261.52(a)]
2. Parking or leaving a vehicle inside the white lines along Forest Service Road #4103 (Illinois River Road.) [36 CFR 261.58(g)]

AREA CLOSURE DESCRIPTION:

The order boundary is ¼ mile from both sides of Forest Service Road #4103 (Illinois River Road), from the Forest boundary in the Southwest ¼ of the Northeast ¼ of Section 8, T.38S, R.8W., to the intersection with Forest Service Road #087 in the Southwest ¼ of the Northwest ¼ of Section 33, T.37S., R.9W., Willamette Meridian, within National Forest System lands. See Exhibit A.

EXEMPTIONS:

Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from the Order:

1. Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails, or Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order), specifically exempting them from this order.
2. Any Federal, State or local officer or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 C.F.R. Part 261, Subpart A.

Violation of these prohibitions are punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both (16 U.S.C. § 551; 18 U.S.C. §§ 3551, 3559, 3571, and 3581).
