Intermittent and complete closures on Forest Service Road (FSR) 46 May through June

From May 4-June 30, Forest Service Road (FSR) 46 will have intermittent and complete closures to repair a large fill failure at mile post 8.6 near Cleator Bend Campground. Portions of the disaster recovery project require drilling and stabilizing both lanes of traffic, which will make the road temporarily impassible. There will be two longer duration total closures, which will require the use of a detour. This temporary closure is in place for public safety during road re-construction.

On June 13 and from June 16-18, the road will be closed from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with openings from 9:00-9:30 AM and 12:30-1:00 PM.

The road will be open with minimal delays from June 19-22, traffic will be controlled with traffic lights at both ends of the closure. 

The week of June 23-27 is expected to be the final week of closures to complete paving and striping. During this time the road will be closed from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with openings from 9:00-9:30 AM and 12:30-1:00PM.
