Tenas Lakes Trailhead
This trailhead provides access to:
- Benson Lake Trail #3502
- Deer Butte Trail #3508
- Scott Mountain Trail #4339

General Information
There are two types of entry permits required between June 15 and October 15 for entering the Mt. Washington Wilderness from this trailhead.
- Overnight Use
- Central Cascades Wilderness Permit between June 15 and October 15.
- Day Use
- Free, self-issue Wilderness Permit (available at the trailhead) between June 15 and October 15.

A valid recreation pass may be used as a form of fee payment.

Day Use:
$5 per vehicle per day
$5/vehicle/day or a valid recreation pass. Fee site and payment accepted onsite.
Within developed recreation sites, dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet, or otherwise under physical restrictive control. 36 CFR 261.16(j)

Directions
From McKenzie Bridge, OR, proceed east on Highway 126 for 8 miles to Forest Road 2649 (Scott Road). Turn right (east), heading up Forest Road 2649 to Forest Road 640. Turn left (north) onto Forest Road 640 and follow it to Tenas Lakes Trailhead. Trailhead is on the right (east) and parking is on the left (west).
