and the Unaka Ranger District of the Cherokee National Forest. This closure order is effective until May

1. Going into or being upon or in the area of closure (this includes all forms of
presence, including as a pedestrian or by any and all other means), pursuant to 36
CFR 261.53(c) and (t).
This order is intended to protect the Paint Rock from vandalism and degradation.
Area restrictions cover North Carolina north of River Road (SRI 304) and approximately 9 acres in size.
Area restrictions cover Tennessee between the French Broad River and the Paint Rock trail and
approximately 11 acres in size
