Beaver Dam Rifle Range
Range will be closed every Wednesday from 8 am to 10 am for range maintenance.
Ranges include right-handed, left-handed and accessible shooting benches, 25 and 100-yard backstops and permit the use of pistols and rifles.

General Information
Best practices for using the rifle range:
- Keep the rifle range free of litter.
- Use only stationary paper or manufactured targets mounted on self-provided stands or holders. Using bottles, cans, pumpkins, watermelons etc. or other trash as targets is prohibited.
- Targets and target holders must be positioned at the base of the berm to catch all bullets and eliminate the chance of ricochet.
- Use eye and ear protection.
- Follow the four rules of gun safety:
- Treat all guns as if they are loaded
- Control your muzzle: Keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction
- Be sure of your target and what is beyond.
- Keep your finger outside of the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot.
Open year round, sunrise to sunset.
- Refer to the Forest Supervisor's orders for prohibited actions on all rifle ranges on the forest.
- Tracer or Incendiary ammunition or exploding targets is prohibited.
- Pack it in, pack it out. Shooters are responsible for own cleanup of all bullet casings, target and target holder, litter-trash. This includes all pieces of stationary, biodegradable skeet being used as a target. (Ranges will continue to be closed for use when they become trashed by non-caring shooters. They will be reopened only when people are willing to help volunteer with cleanup efforts.)
- While shooting, your valid daily or annual permit must be displayed. Clip permit on post at shooting table,
- Permits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Beaverdam Rifle Range will no longer accept cash/checks for payment. Payment must be completed through recreation.gov.
- Annual Shooting Range Passes are available for purchase at the Enoree and Long Cane Ranger District offices and on recreation.gov. The annual shooting range pass is valid for all Enoree and Long Cane Rifle Ranges.
- Beaverdam Rifle Range will no longer accept cash/checks for payment. Payment must be completed through recreation.gov.
- Shooters under the age of 16 is free but must be accompanied by an adult and must provide identification, if asked.
- No Golden Age Passport and America the Beautiful Interagency Pass discount.
- Daily pass is $5 per user. Annual Shooting Range Pass is $50 per calendar year. The Annual Shooting Range Pass is honored at all ranges on the Enoree and Long Cane Districts.
