The Bayou Boeuf Research Natural Area is located on the Evangeline Unit of the Calcasieu Ranger District, about 6 miles southwest of Alexandria, Louisiana. It includes approximately 737 acres.

Directions
The Bayou Boeuf Research Natural Area is accessible by Louisiana Hwy 488 (Twin Bridges Road) and Forest Service Roads 287 and 212. Its southern tip is located about one half mile from U.S. Hwy 165 but is not accessible by road.
