  • I-40 Corridor Forest Closure

    For the protection and public health and safety for the Interstate 40 reconstruction, a closure is in place for National Forest Service lands and roads south of the I-40 corridor in the Appalachian Ranger District. This includes areas south of Slick Rock Branch drainage, the area west of the Pigeon River and lands north towards the Tennessee/North Carolina state line.

    Old Buzzard Roost- FS 289

    Hicks Branch- FS 453

  2. Roads closed to all forms of traffic. Including but not limited to; motor vehicles, pedestrian, horseback and bicycle.
