Pisgah Ranger District

Established in 1927 to study rehabilitation of cutover, degraded forests, Bent Creek is the oldest experimental forest in the East.

Located in the Pisgah National Forest, Lake Powhatan Campground is a wooded site on the banks of Lake Powhatan with a swimming lake and beach.
