Forest Order- Shady Lake Recreation Area

PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF 16 U.S.C., SECTION 551 AND 36 C.F.R. 261.50(a) AND (b), IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT THE FOLLOWING ACTS ARE PROHIBITED ON THE AREA, ROADS AND TRAILS DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDER AS SHADY LAKE RECREATION AREA.  

THE FOLLOWING PROHIBITED ACTS ARE SET FORTH IN 36 CFR 261. 53 and 261.58:   

261.53 (e) Going onto or being upon the dam at Shady Lake Recreation Area  

261.58 (k) Swimming in other than designated swim site.  

261.58 (n) Possessing or operating a gasoline powered boat motor.  

261.58 (p) Storing or leaving a boat or raft.                                                                                                             

261.58 (r) Launching a boat except at a designated launching ramp.  

PURSUANT TO 36 CFR, SECTION 261.50 (e), THE FOLLOWING PERSONS ARE EXEMPT FROM THIS ORDER:  

(1) Persons with a permit specifically authorizing otherwise prohibited act or omission.  

(2) Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.  

These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions 36 CFR part 261, Subpart A.
