In 2021, the Forest Service in Arkansas and Oklahoma and The Nature Conservancy in Arkansas produced a series of three short videos highlighting the incredible forest and glade restoration work being completed on the National Forests in Arkansas and Oklahoma. These videos were developed to showcase our commitment to restoration, benefiting us both now and in generations to come. We have a lot of success stories to tell that will include many more of our collaborators, and these three short stories were just the beginning! In 2023, we produced three more videos, highlighting the Ouachita-Ozark Interior Highlands Collaborative, oak woodland restoration and water quality/restoration.

We are thrilled to partner with other agencies and entities who are leaders in conservation and restoration of natural landscapes. Through the Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program and Joint Chief’s Landscape Restoration Partnership, funding to expand Forest restoration efforts across the National Forests in Arkansas and Oklahoma has been obtained. As researchers and public and private land managers, we are passionate about restoring native ecosystems, and committed to balancing the immense responsibilities that come with multiple-use management principles.
