Caddo-LBJ National Grasslands

General Information

 The Caddo and Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) National Grasslands are located in two areas northeast and northwest of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. 

They not only provide grazing land for cattle and habitat for wildlife but offer a variety of recreation. The most popular activities are hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, and photography.

 

Passes & Permits

The National Forests and Grasslands in Texas (NFGT) offer endless opportunities for outdoor recreation, from hiking and camping to fishing and wildlife viewing. Whether you're exploring the trails on the Caddo/Lyndon B. Johnson National Grasslands, the Multi-Use Trail on the Sam Houston National Forest or enjoying the waters of Lake Sam Rayburn, there's something for everyone.

Before you visit, be sure to explore the various passes available to our visitors, including day-use and annual and lifetime senior passes, to make the most of your outdoor experience.
